According to his Headstone James Conway was born c1790 in Clonmain and died in 1873 in Cloveneden. He married around 1830 Ann Paine/Payne of Causanagh. They farmed at Cloveneden and raised a family there having 6 boys and 1 girl. Their second son John Michael emigrated to Australia in 1855. He is buried at Eagralougher cemetery with his wife.
