You created two Ancestor entries for James Hughes, one for Clare and the other for Mayo. No other details provided. Did James Hughes emigrate? Parents names? Death date? We would like the entries to have as much detail as possible.

Hello
New to your site, so trackers (?) put me in County Clare which is where I live. I'll eventually get around to filling in more ....
My grandfather. James Hughes, was from Ratkell, in the shadows of Mount Nephin.
Went to America in the early 1900's and returned after the Wall Street Crash in the 30's. Before the crash, he had saved money, and was advised to change from Dollars into the New Irish currency, thus saving his money.
He had an older, unmarried brother, still in Rathkell, but there was no reconciliation.
So he bought a field and expanded, in Ballaghamuck, Crossmolina, and reared 7 kids.
