From Castletownroche , east of Mallow. Emigrated with the first group of Peter Robinson Settlers in 1823 on the Stakesby from Cobh. Story of the embarkation and voyage is told in a video shown at Queenstown Emigration Museum. James and his group settled in Lanark County, Ontario.
