Jeremiah Coholan was my g-g-grandfather.  He was baptized July 9, 1803 at Cork South, St. Finbar's church.  Jeremiah was the son of Daniel Coholan and Catherine Walsh, also from Cork city.  Jeremiah Coholan married Johanna Connors (1808-1887).  They had one daughter, Honora Coholan (1839- 1914) who was born in Cork abt. 1839 but for whom I have not yet located a baptism.  Jeremiah and his wife, and possibly their daughter, Honora, emigrated in 1841 to what became known as Teetotal or Cork Settlement, New Brunswick, Canada.  I have developed a website dedicated to the original settlers of Teetotal/Cork Settlement and their descendants, see:  http://www.corksettlement.com/ and a Facebook group one can join off of my website.  Teetotal or Cork Settlement was founded by Irish immigrants mainly from Cork and Kerry, Ireland who were thrown out of work in Fredericton, New Brunswick in the early 1840's.

Jeremiah and his wife, Johanna Connors had several children in New Brunswick, including:  Daniel (1841-1861), Mary - my great grandmother  (1843-1941), Elizabeth (1844), John (1845-1925), Patrick (1847-1909), Michael (1848-?), and Catherine (1851-?).

Jeremiah died in 1869 in Cork, York county, New Brunswick and his wife, Johanna Connors Kennedy died in 1887.  They are both buried at Immaculate Conception Church, Cork, York county, New Brunswick.

NOTE - I will add and revise this profile, but I wanted to post something prior to my trip to Cork on May 3, 2019.
