My Great, Great, Great Grandmother was Johanna Shanahan daughter of William shanahan and Josanna Casey. She was born about 1832 in Limerick County. She arrived in the USA in 1852. She had two brothers: William Shanahan and James Shananhan who also came to the USA. I don't know if her parents came or stayed in Ireland. She was married to Timmothy Whelan and they had 4 children in the USA. I don't know if they met in the USA and were married here or they were married in Ireland before they left. I don't have any information on his parents. I would love to know more about them or any current relatives. Per my DNA I am 39 percent Irish!
