John Beckett was married in Ireland to Sarah Glass.
He, along with his parents-in-law Samuel and Mary Gamble Glass, as well as other members of the intermarried Beckett, Glass and Vance families, emigrated to Virginia in the 1730s.
The Glass is familiy is reported to have originated in Seapatrick Parish, County Down. I would like to know more about the origins of the Beckett and Glass families in Ulster.
