I am searching for information about my grandfather, John Byrne from Altclogh, County Donegal. I know he was born on 12-08-1879. This is what I am trying to find out:
1) His death date and burial location. (He must have died between 1920-my mother Mary Theresa Byrne was his only child born in 1920- and when his wife, Bridget (Cannon) Byrne immigrated to the US with my mother in 1926.)
2) John Byrne was one of 7 children (I know who they are) born to William Byrne (born abt.1845 & died 1-07-1895) and Nabla Fisher (born abt. 1853 & died 7-01-1918) in Altclogh. Nabla's marriage record on 2-16-1879 shows her being from "Meenaharraway", which might be an incorrect name. I would love to know when Nabla was born and if she had siblings. (I think she might have had at least two siblings, Frank/Francis Fisher (1845-1897 and immigrated to the US in 1863) and Patrick Fisher (1841-?? and married Bridget "Biddy" Doherty on 2-23-1868). I am trying to confirm that these are Nabla's siblings. My great aunt years ago said there are other siblings.
3) Who are Nabla Fisher's parents? Her marriage record from 2-16-1879 says her father was Edward Fisher, but who was her mother? Someone said maybe Mabel Ward?
4) Who are the parents of William Byrne (husband of Nabla)? I know father is Daniel Byrne from Donegal, but I do not have any information about his wife or any dates.
