Born Ballylongford abt 1820. Enlisted East India Co 1840 at Limerick. Did 24years 1 month Time expired. Served in India and Burma. Weaver by trade. Returned to Ballylongford 1863. Stayed for 10yrs and then immigrated to New Zealand with his wife and 5 children. Army records state in was of good character and he attained the rank of Sergeant.
