Name changed to McKenny following emigration to the US. Preceded by 2 of his sons, Kieran and Thomas, because of illness of wife Catherine Guinan Kenny (1813-1850). Followed sons to USA with daughters Bridget (Kenny Rourke 1836-1904); Mary Ellen Kenny Cummins (1826-1811) after death (consumption) of wife Catherine in 1850.
