John Jeffery and his wife Mary Bishop Jeffery, son William, and daughters Nancy, Jane and Eliza left from Belfast, Ireland in March of 1819 and landed in Baltimore, Maryland in April of 1819. Mary was pregnant with their fifth child and had to stay in Baltimore until their son was born. As soon as she could travel they proceded to Ohio and began homesteading there.
John and Mary married in Belfast November 25, 1805. Son William was born in 1806, daughters Nancy in 1808, Jane in 1811 and Eliza in 1815.
