John Kelliher was born in December 1824 in Glin, Kerry, Ireland. He married Mary Margaret Sheehy on March 4, 1851, in Kerry, Ireland. They had seven children in 16 years. He died in March 1898 in Kerry, Ireland, at the age of 73. I have been told by the descendants of John and Margaret, that they were very sad that six of their children had left Ireland and were never seen by them again.
