John Mahany (19 yrs old) and his wife Hanorah McCarthy-Hayes and her daughter Mary Hayes (about 5 yrs old) migrated from County Cork to St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada in 1834.  Their first son, Dennis Henry Mahany, was born while on the ship near Canada in 1834.
