I have an O'Brien from Abington who settled in Victoria and I wonder if they're related...

My 2x great-grandfather Denis O'Brien was born in 1836 to Edmund O'Brien and Margaret Tucker.

I have a Edmond but not married to Tucker.

 

I ahve some Denis born in Ireland.

Interesting, I would like to know a little more about the fmaily. Do you know their "townand"?

Hi Dennis

 

No, I'm trying to locate it but my Edmund remains elusive.

 

I know he died in 1868 as Denis his son erected a headstone for him in the Abington cemetery.  I have also found a civil death record for an Edmund in 1868 who died in Mungfune, Abington, Limerick who's wife was Margaret - but I haven't proved this is one and the same person.

 

Where does your Edmund fit in?
