John married Mary Davis at St. Aidan's Catholic Church, Enniscorthy, Wexford on 17 January 1808. They had at least four children
Mary baptized 22 June 1808, Ellen baptized 30 April 1814, James baptized 1 May 1817 and Anna baptized 3 April 1820.
The family emigrated to the US by 1834 when Ellen married Patrick McLaughlin in Boston. In 1836 Mary marries Patrick Byrnes in Boston.
By 1840 the entire family had moved to Monroe County, Illinois. They lived in that area for the rest of their lives.
John died in Monroe County 1 September 1844 at the age of 71 and Mary died 11 Sept 1842 at the age of 65.
There is no evidence that Anna accompanied the rest of the family to the US.
