John Tracy was born on 5 June 1845, near Avoca in County, Wicklow, Ireland, the son of William and Ellen (CARR) TRACY.
He came with his family to the USA at the age of 2. They arrived in New York and proceeded to the lead mines adjacent
to the village of New Diggings, [Lafayette County], Wisconsin.
He married Phillipa RICHARDS in 1869 and they had eleven children.
He died on 11 March 1926.
