Migrated to/Born in USA

John Webb was the Boys National School teacher in Clonaslee from 1832 until mid 1850s when he immigrated to US. He was born in 1789. He probably was born somewhere else and came to Clonaslee to teach.

He married Mary Cashen from the area and they had children, Elizabeth, James, Susan, John, Catherine, Thomas and Richard.

My GGGrandmother was Elizabeth Webb. She married Richard Kilroe from Offaly in the RC church in Clonaslee and they had their first child, Susan Kilroe baptized there as well. The whole family came to New York City. John died in 1862, Elizabeth in 1884. They are buried in Calvary Cemettery in New York.
