Julia Gahan ( not sure of spelling especially in Ireland)

I think she was born in Wexford, Ireland and came to America in 1856. She setteled in Conshohocken , Pennsylvania .

I do not see any other Gahan family members in Conshohocken.

She married James Kehoe July 27, 1856 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

They then had 5 children, John, Mary, Margaret (my great grandmother), Alice, and Judith( died as a child).

Hi Whoever, How long your search is here is not given, but anyway, according to what you say she arrived in us in 1856 and married same year. There are plenty of Kehoes and some Gahans in wexford but there are loads of Parishes too, also could she have followed James to the US, it wasnt unusual to have long engagements and one to emigrate and the other to follow when money available. My mothers sister did just that. In US I have seen death certs where the parents are given. As your search stands at the moment its a needle in the haystack. As it happens Wexford is pretty good for church records. You could try the NLI Church records thats the Catholic parish records and use the map for wexford. Im sorry I should remember how to copy and paste the site for you but I always forget how ( Im assuming RC). Id look at the records in US first and see what they tell you Best
