Laurence Daly was rhe son of Daniel Daly and Alice Flynn (aka Flinn). He was born in Ballymacmague and was baptized 10 Jul 1791 (sponsors: Thomas Morsey & Mary Lynch. (However, his mother was listed as Helen and on a transcription his sponsor Thomas was mistakenly put as "Money".)

Laurence was the oldest son of Daniel and Alice. He had one known sister Bridget, baptized 10 Mar 1793 (sponsors: John McGrath & Mary Guiry) and one known brother Owen baptized 14 Aug 1796 (sponsors: John Fletcher & Bridget last name transcribed Morrison, (though it's probably Morrisey). Both siblings were born in Ballymacmague.

There is, it's believed another brother; Thomas Daly born circa late 1794, but no baptisim has been found for verification. However, the three brothers, Laurence, Thomas, and Owen all appear on land records from 1846-1848 with each other.

Laurence married Honora Quinn circa 1824 in Ballymacmague. The couple had eight children: Daniel (1825), John (1827) Alice Daly Spratt (1828), Patrick (1830), Laurence (1832), Mary (1834), Owen (1836) and Catherine Daly May (1841). All were born in Ballymacmague (sometimes called Ballynamoragh).

Laurence and Honora were farmers and lived in Ballymacmague until their deaths. It isn't known when Laurence died but he disappears from land records after 1848 and only Owen can be found farming in Ballymacmague. It's also believed that Honora died prior to 1863.
