  • Hello there, My 3x Great Grandfather was Laurence Waters, but he was born in 1806. His parents were from Sligo (Mullinabreena, Anchonry). They were Hugh and Cathering (nee Wynne). My Great Grandfather was also Lawrence Waters, but from Ontario, Canada. Different spellings of Laurence/Lawrence. The first Laurence (1806) moved to Lincoln, Upper canada and was married to Anne Wynne in 1842 where they had several children. I am writing because 1) the name is a coincidence to your line? and 2) If I learn of a lawrence Waters that is not the one I am looking for I will keep you posted. I hope you will do me the same coutesy please:)

  • Hello Melplav,

    this is by way of an apology.  I received your message just before going on holiday.  I'm not used to forums.  Thank you for contacting me.  I was given some information on a Lawrence Waters, not mine but I have saved it.  This one was a soldier, as mine was, but older.  When it turns up I will send it to you.
