Martin H Crean was born about 1843 in the Knockglassbeg Townland of Kerry, Ireland. His father was Hugh Crean and his mother was Johanna Flynn. Martin married Ellen Dowd on February 22, 1870. They had eleven children during their marriage, including Mary. Almost all of their children emigrated to Connecticut, where, as of 2020, there were many more Creans than in Ireland. Martin Crean was a Farmer who died in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland about September in 1922 at the age of 79. The location of his gravesite was unknown as of 2021. His gravesite was suspected to be in Tralee.
