Mary Ann Hall was born in 1847 to James Hall and Susan Shannon, who were married at the Kilcommock Parish Church on 9 Oct 1845 in Co. Longford, Ireland. James' residence was Kilmakinlan township and Susan's residence was Ballyknock township. James' father was Charles Hall, a farmer, Susan's father was John Shannon, a weaver.
Mary Ann and her mother emigrated in or before 1854 when her mother married Robert Trafford in Warwick township, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. When and where James Hall died is unknown. Mary Ann Hall married Richard Cox in Warwick townshp in 1880. Mary Ann ran boarding houses in Ontario and North Dakota. Mary Ann died on 6 June 1920 in Bottineau, Bottineau County, North Dakota, USA.
