Mary was born in 1835 the eldest of 4 known children of James Donoghue and Mary Murphy(Lott).
She was possibly born in Coabeg, Valentia.The family moved to Ballynabloun before 1850.
She was sister to Bridget born 1844, JOSEPH born 1850 and Patrick born 1853.She married PATRICK SULLIVANof Dromod in 1858.They ha 10 children, 7 of whom went to the States.Mary died in 1902 aged 66 and is buried in Dromod Cemetery.
