Mary Hayes, my 2nd great grandmother, was born Sept. 20, 1814 in Hospital, Limerick, Ireland. She was the daughter of John Hayes (born ca. 1790) and Mary Kenny (born ca. 1790). She had sisters Bridget (b. 1817), and Margaret (b. 1819).
Mary was married to John Magner of Hospital, born about 1814. Mary Hayes Magner left Ireland about 1875 when she was about 61 years old to follow her children to Webster MA in the United States. I am assuming that her husband John Magner died in Ireland prior to her leaving as there is no record of him in the U.S. All of the directories show Mary Magner as widow of John.
I know that her sister Bridget went to London where she was married to William Hyde. They moved to Australia. Mary Kenny was at the wedding. I am not sure about Margaret Hayes. I think there may also be another sister.
I would appreciate any information you may find on my ancestors. Mary Hayes Magner died after 1903 and is buried in Calvery Cemetary in Webster MA. U.S. Many of Mary's children were bakers in the U.S. I am wondering if they were bakers in Hospital.
