The 1901 Census shows Mary Malone lived at House 5, Ballyteige, Lisdoonvarna with her father James, mother Bridget and brother James. By the 1910 Census only Mary and her brother Austin are still living at this same property. From the Clare Library RC Baptism records I have identified a James Malone married Bridget O'Loughlin and they had at least six children. It is possible that this James is my 2x Great Uncle, making Mary a distant cousin.
Mary never married and had several run ins with the law. In particular she defrauded the local priest in 1906 and this is how she may have ended up in the Ballyvaughan Workhouse.
