Mary Martin was born on the 16th day of April 1879, to Patrick Martin and Isabella Murray Martin of Tullinagrena, in County Donegal. She emigrated to America, along with her brother, Patrick, in August 1905 on the ship SS Columbia sailing from Londonderry to New York. They were going to "Aunt Maggie Healy" (Margaret Murray) in Franklin Massachussetts.
Mary married Geoge Charles Martin of Rochester, NY, in Manhattan on 29 August 1907. They lived for a time in Franklin, Massachussetts, and in New York City, and West Hoboken, NJ. Mary later lived with her daughter and son in law, Mary Martin Curtis and Tom Curtis, in Madison, New Jersey. She died in 1946 and is buried in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison, NJ.
