Mary McCarthy my great great grandmother was born in Abbeyfeale, Limerick, Ireland.  Mary came to Canada from Limerick, Ireland in the late 1840's spent 9 weeks and 3 days in a sailing vessel.  Mary married after being in Canada about 2 years (according to written information from her daughter, Frances Patchet.) So she must have come to Canada late in the 1840's as she married in 1851.  Her father's name was John.  She first married Abednego Patchet (my ancestor) and then Christopher Boyes after Abednego's death.  That is all the information I have on her, and she has been a brick wall for almost 20 years.
