    Mathew McKeo was baptised 6th Dec 1853, Killucan Parish parish, son of Peter McKeogh and Ellen Cahill. The sponsors were John Dunne and Fanny McKeo [Killucan Parish Register 1853 p101]. This couple had at least 8 children:

    Mathew never married. He died by drowning in the Royal canal at Thomastown, aged 45, bachelor, occupation carpenter, cause of death accidental drowning [Mullingar, 1885 Oct-Dec Vol 3 page 179]. His brother Thomas who had drowned in the same canal on 7th November 1885 [Mullingar, 1885 Group ID6175474].
