Michael Carmody was born in 1785 in Limerick. I don't know the parish, but he was baptized at St. Mary's Cathedral in Limerick in September 1785. His parents were John and Mary Carmody. I have no information on them.
Michael married Maria Griott or Gerrot and they had 5 daughters - Maria, Anna, Margret, Catherine, and my GG grandmother Bridget, born in 1817. All the girls were born in Cratloe Parish except for Bridget, who was born in Ballynanty parish, County Limerick. So obviously by then, the family must have moved there.
Briget married Daniel Reddan who was from Ballynanty parish also, in May 1835 in Limerick at St. Michael's church. They immigrated to Sydney, Australia in 1838. Any further information going back I the family would be greatly appreciated.
