Michael Hackett born in Kildare I think about 1842. His mother was Betsy Hackett and I think his father was Michael Anderson. Michael took his mother's name. He married Catherine Connor in Meath around 1865. They had one child Betsy who sadly died in 1868 when she was only 19 months old. Catherine died the same year. Michael moved to Dundee married again to Mary Murphy and went on to have 8 children. 7 daughters and 1 son James Hackett who was my grandad. If anyone knows anything about Michael and Catherine or about their parents would be very grateful to hear from you. Would love to trace the Anderson and Connor lines.
