Michael Hannan born circa 1802. Possibly born in Ballymote but information I have says Sligo.
I have no record of his parents or of any siblings.
I know he married Catherine Bochan - variants ar Bochin and Bochaine.
They had a son, Thomas Hannan born 1838.
I don't know whether Thomas was their only son or even their only child.
Thomas emigrated to Scotland and married in 1865. He married a widow, Margaret McQue, nee Gallacher.
I know my Hannan family line from there onwards.
A Francis Hannan signed Thomas and Margaret's marriage certificate as witness to their marriage. Both Michael and Catherine Hannan were deceased at the time of Thomas's marriage.
I don't know whether Francis was Thomas's brother or a cousin.
