Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in Australia
Very little has been found regarding Michael Terry. He married Johanna Ducy in about 1828 In County Waterford.
They had five children born in Ireland: Michael (1831), Mary (1832), Margaret (1833), Lawrence (1835) and Catherine (1837). The family migrated to Australia (NSW) however no record has been found of their voyage or the ship they travelled on. Passenger lists were not always kept for those who travelled steerage.
Assisted and bounty immigrants were usually noted. On arrival in Australia they had two more children. Bridget (1842) and Johanna (1843). I am descended from Johanna.
