She was daughter of William Tallon and Mary Reilly of Ballyrahen, Mullinacuff, Co. Wicklow.
She had 3 brothers James, Bill and Simon and one sister Margaret who died young.
She married Hugh Jordan Jnr of Coolboy on 20th July 1893 and they both lived on a small farm in Coolboy.
She was mother of 8 children, 2 of whom died young. Hugh died in 1909 leaving her with 6 children, the youngest only 2 years. When her son Hugh took over the farm she moved to Poulsac with her son Luke.
Throughout her life she taught singing and dancing to young people and to her own family. She also sang around the camp-fires her favourite song being Roisin Dubh.
She had raised her daughter Kate's children after Kate died.
Moira died on March 13th 1951 aged 83 and is buried in Coolafancy with her son Luke.
An ordinary woman who had an extraordinary life.
