Norah was born in Portlaw on 12 July 1874 to Thomas Hearn and Ellen Lee.
She married William Joseph Partridge on 11 November 1893 in Portlaw. She had 3 daughters in Portlaw between 1894 and 1896.
Norah and William came to Manchester, England in the late 1890's andd had 4 more daughters. Their eldest child Ellen died in 1903 aged 8 and my grandmother who was born in 1906 was named after her.
They settled in Droylsden, Manchester. William is shown as a Stoker in the Merchant Navy on the 1901 and 1911 census.The 1911 census shows that they had 9 children and 3 died.
In 1898 Norah was the informant of her mother in laws death. Her address is given as 31 Brown Street, Portlaw.
She died in September 1955 and is buried in Droylsden Cemetery.
