Convict - transported on Captain Cook (1) from County Monaghan in 1831, arrived in 1832/3. Certificate of Freedom 17 April 1839 (NSW Govt Gazette, Issue No. 408). Permission was granted to marry convict Kezia Kerenhappuck Gibbs in 1847 at Windsor, NSW. Died at Windsor, NSW.  Was not with Kezia at this time - unknown when they separated. Children: John (1846-1925), Mary (1847-?), James (1849-1910), Robert (1851-?).  Listed as a Tanner on son John's death certificate and as a Tanner on his own death certificate. Unknown parentage at time of writing.

  • Possibly living in the Townland of Killysavin, County Monaghan, in 1831 as this is where he and 2 other men assaulted Edward Summerville and was the reason he was transported to Australia for 7 years.
