Baptised September 1838. Under the name of BUCKLY. Father Simon BUCKLY Mother Mary JACKSON. Patrick married Ellen DONOVAN on 11 May 1862 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Dockhead Chapel, London. They departed England on 23 May 1865 on the Ship "The Young England", arriving at Moreton Bay, Brisbane Australia on 23rd August 1865. There daughter, Maria [Mary] BARCLEY [Barclay] died on board the ship 3rd August 1865.
Patrick and Ellen BARCLAY spent two years in Queensland presumably working for Queensland Railways before relocating to Country NSW. They had seven children. Ellen died 4 November 1908 at Mater Miseraicordie Hospital, Crows Nest and Patrick died on 19 October 1920 at 61 Hunter Street Hornsby NSW. They are both buried at Gore Hill Cemetry, St Leonards, Sydney NSW Australia.
