Patrick Daly migrated from Derrynoose to the U.S. in 1832 on the Brig Emery, arriving in New York. He made his way to the Grampian Hills, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania where he established a large farm. He married Anna (Nancy) Johnson in 1837, and together they raised 9 children to maturity. At least two others died at birth or in early childhood. After selling his farm and other large landholdings, Patrick and his family moved to DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania after 1880.
