Born 1827 in County Monaghan. (We don't know his exact birthplace or parish.)
Emigrated to the United States with brothers John and James on the ship Diogenes, leaving from Liverpool, September 9, 1848.
First lived in Philadelphia - worked as a pudler.
Married Sarah Brady, from County Fermanagh in 1853. (We cannot find the marriage record, but both were Roman Catholic.)
The family had eight children - William, 1853; Robert, 1855; John, 1858; Sarah Jane, 1859; James, 1863; Kate, 1863; Joseph, 1875; Rose, 1876.
The family was living in Wareham, Massachusetts in 1856, where their second son, Robert, was born.
The family then returned to Philadelphia.
Patrick died on July 12, 1880, at age 53, in a fall from a vehicle.
