The parish baptismal register shows that Patrick was baptized 15 Feb 1837, and had 4 sisters: Mary - 1830; Catherine - 1832, and twins Alice and Bridget - 1834. Nothing is known of what became of the 4 sisters. Patrick enlisted in the RIC in Loughrea and was posted to South Tipperary. After several years he left the RIC, and moved to London. There he married Mary Anne Murray in St Mary of the Angels, Kensington 15 Feb 1867. In May 1869 Patrick arrived in Brooklyn NY. Mary Anne and their two children arrived a few weeks later. Several more children were born in Brooklyn, including my grandmother Bridget Mahon Wood. Mary Anne died 30 Sept 1893, and Patrick died the 17th Jan 1914. Pat Wood <celtictwigs@gmail.com>
