Patrick's parents were James McGuire and Maria McGready of Aghaloo, Co. Tyrone. He was one of 7 children: James, Mary, Ellen, Peter, Ellen and Ann. Patrick married Catherine Hamill of Aghaloo parish on June 1, 1891 in New York City. They had 3 children: James b. 1893 d. 1893. James Patrick b 1895, d 1966 and John b 1897 d. 1956. All emigrated and settled in Brooklyn, NY. James married Ellen Kelly, Mary died in 1903, Ellen married Patrick Coogan from Aghaloo, Ann married Andrew McGee and Peter married Bridget Callahan.
Patrick and his brothers owned a bar at 550 Park Avenue Brooklyn until Patrick died. According to family legend Patrick was robbed and hit on the head and died several weeks latera. They stole his horse and carriage.
All the McGuire's are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
