Peter was born on 11/17/1863, and was raised in County Mayo in the Catholic religion.  He was one of 12 children in the family.  He had a twin sister named Katie.  In 1883, he emigrated to the United States.  In 1889, he joined the U.S. Army in Boston, MA, USA.  He was assigned to Camp Pilot Butte, WY, USA.  He was honorably discharged in 1893.  In 1898, he volunteered to reenlist and join the Wyoming Volunteer Infantry Battalion of the U.S. Army.  In 1899, he was mustered out of the battalion.  In 1902, he married Adelia Isabel Smith.  He fathered three children, Thomas Robert, born in 1902, Thelma D., born in 1904, and Francis Arthur, born in 1908.  Thelma died in 1906.  Peter became the Wyoming State Mine Inspector.  He died on 01/06/1930.
