Peter Lillis (b.1889) was the youngest of 10 children born to John Lillis and Margaret Keating. Margaret's brother Sinon Keating married John Lillis's sister Margaret. Peter emigrated (1909) with his brothers John and Martin and his sister Mary to the USA. The three brothers settled in Jersey City, NJ. Mary married Charlie Fitzgerald and lived in Long Island, NY. John and Martin married two sisters - Anna and Bessie Mullen. Peter met Mary Kelly who had recently emigrated from Co. Sligo. They were married at St. Lucy's Church in Jersey City July 27, 1919. They had 3 daughters (Ann, marrried to William Flanagan), Margaret (married to Eddie Ulrich), and Eleanor (single).
