Peter Keenan was born in 1797 and married Bridget Reynolds in 27 Aug 1824 in Co Longford. They then resided in the townland of Argallagher, Co Roscommon where they had at least 6 children.
The children included Bridget (1826-1858), Michael (1827-1888), Catherine (1833-?), Peter James (1834-1892), Elizabeth (1826-?) and Joseph Michael (1838-1911).
Peter died 14 Mar 1866 in Ardgallagher and is buried in the Clooncraf Cemetery along with son Michael and daughter Bridget. It is believed that his wife Bridget (1802-?) died in the Carrick-on-Shannon workhouse sometime after 1888.
