Here is the written information I have for Peter L. Nolan.
Occupation - Sailor. His wife Mary, made him give up the sea and go into business. He went into the saloon or liquor business and also bought real estate. He owned the land where the Palace Hotel in San Francisco now stands and a place in the Portrero Hill District which had a store. During the so-called "boom" at Hunter Point, he bought a great deal of ground, but the boom never materialized and the land was sold by the city for taxes. He also had 3 or 4 houses on Sacramento Street near the Waterfront which he left to his wife Mary Nolan.
Born: Ireland, no other information.
He may have been born around the early 1830s
I am placing him in Roscommon
