Philip Malone was said to have been born in County Fermanagh in or about 1805. He married Anne McMahon in Ireland in or about 1832 and they had 5 sons with them when they emigrated to Canada before 1851. The sons were: Joseph James, born about 1832, Edward, 1834; Patrick 1836; Philip,1838 and Barney, 1842.
The family settled in Ontario Canada and the family later donated a site of their land for a school house. One of Philip Malone's children taught there and the family were remembered in the local community for being able to read and write.
Philip Malone died in 1873 in Ontario Canada.
His wife, Anne McMahon Malone died in 1884 in Ottawa, Canada.
