I am a descendent of Anastasia Murphy with same parents who was sentenced in Kilkenny and transported to Australia via Cork for Uttering (forgery) as a young woman around 1828. She was transported for 14 years, started her term in Sydney and finally marred Wright in Heidelburg circa 1842. I think the record which shows her birth at 1807 is right as she was about 17-18 at the time of sentencing Plenty of detail regarding Anastasia post 1844, and some educated guesses about some of her time and relatives around St Johns in Kilkenny, though detail is sparse. I found no information during a visit in 2006, but live in hope of finding more.
