Griffith's Valuations of 1850 [Map 5, Page 101] indicates that the family was residing on Carey's Road (house and yard) in the Civil Parish of St. Michael's Prior's Land, County Limerick, Ireland. They were tenants of John O'Donnell. Additionally, at this same time there was a John Blackwell family residing at Windmill Street also in the Civil Parish of St. Michael's, tenants of Mary J. Cogan.
