Hi Les, I saw your thread so joined this site to mention that I believe that Robert Stevenson & Jane martin are my 2nd great grandparents. I am related via their daughter Sarah born in L'pool in 1876.
I have not been able to find much info about Robert & Janes parents so your thread was useful.

Hi Sue,good to hear from you. My mother grandfather was John Stevenson Sarah’s brother. I have a cousin Stuart Stevenson who has moved to Northern Ireland and is living a few miles away from Garvaghy where Robert and Jane Came from I am hoping to visit him in the near future to look at the area. Did you pick up in the thread that Roberts father died in a fire at the age of 96! I have a copy of Robert and Janes marriage certificate if you would like me to send you a copy let me have your email address? Best wishes. Les
