This is just a shot in the dark. Family lore has Robert Whitten marrying Elizabeth Ferguson in York (now Toronto, Canada) in 1850. We believe Robert came to Canada with his brother Thomas and Andrew in the late 1840s. Again, no confirmation of any of this.
We believe he was born 1819 or 1820 in the Portadown area. Robert passed away in Amaranth Township, Dufferin County on March 1, 1887.
