WIth the help of researchers in Skibbereen, it is thought that Sarah was the daughter of Abraham Burchill and Mary Coughlan.
Abraham had no more children with Mary Coughlan however he had been married a few times so there were half siblings.
Sarah went by Coughlan until she started having children then she used the name of Burchill to show heritage for her children.
