Sarah Catherine Cody married John Delaney- also of Charleville, Co Offaly (Kings Co).  They emigrated to America and raised family.  Found their graves in Lackawaxen PA.  I would like to know where their families are in Co Offaly- Rahan specifically, where they were born/married.  And if not Rahan, then close-by.  Also would like to know where their parent's graves are in Offaly.

     This is the link to the Parish Records for Rahan and Lynally, marriage records start in 1810, now there are some missing years.

    https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0933 - Tullamore

    Now you may need to search Tullamore records as Charleville is on the Tullamore end of the Parish.  It depends where Sarah came from Rahan or Tullamore, as people usually married in the brides Parish.

    Also have you done your DNA, it might help with finding relatives still in the area.

  • Yes, I did my dna thru Ancestry.  

    John Delaney, born 1814 Charville, Tullamore, Co Offaly, Died 1865, Shahola PA.(I believe)

    Sarah Cody Delaney- born 1813- Charville, Tullamore, Co Offaly. Died Port Jervis NY May 1880

    Says on their marriage cert- married Feb 1839, in Rahan.  Co Offaly.
